Glasgow City Chambers
An eminent example of Victorian civic architecture, the building is one of the city’s most prestigious structures. Acting as the focal point of the famous George Square, the imposing building tells the story of the wealth and industrial prosperity of the Second City of the Empire.

The accurately named Merchant City was developed in the 1750s, to accommodate the residences and warehouses of Glasgow’s merchant tobacco lords. The district west of the High Street formed the historic backbone of the city and as Glasgow expanded in the 19th century, the streets housed the city’s central fruit, vegetable and cheese markets.

Glasgow Cathedral
Marking the birthplace of the city, Glasgow Cathedral, is the last of its kind on Scottish mainland having survived the reformation of 1560. Steeped in history, this magnificent medieval building, is allegedly located where the patron saint of Glasgow, Saint Mungo, built his church.
